Accessibility

We want this site to work for everyone who lands on it. This page records what is actually built in, and what we will do if something does not work for you. It is a commitment and a status report, not a certification.

What is built into this page

A skip link as the first focusable element, so keyboard and screen reader users can jump straight past the header to the content.
Keyboard operation. Everything interactive on this page is a real link, reachable and activatable by keyboard, with a visible focus state.
Reduced motion is respected. The animated background checks prefers-reduced-motion and does not run if your system asks for less motion. Nothing on the page depends on that animation to be readable.
It works without WebGL. If your device or browser cannot run the background scene, a static image takes its place. The page is never blank and no content is lost.
Decorative visuals are hidden from assistive tech with aria-hidden, so a screen reader reads the actual message rather than describing background ornament.
Real semantic structure: one page heading, landmark regions for the header, main content, and footer.
Text scales. Headings use fluid sizing and the layout reflows rather than breaking when you zoom.

What we have not done yet

We are being straight about this rather than implying more than is true. This page has not been through a formal third-party accessibility audit, and it has not been tested against every screen reader and browser combination. As the site grows past this preview, testing grows with it.

If something does not work for you

Tell us and we will fix it. That is the whole policy. Describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you were using (browser, device, and any assistive technology). We would rather hear about it than have you leave.

Standard we are aiming at

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We are not claiming full conformance today, and we will say so on this page when we can claim it honestly.
